Speakers

  • MAPS Project Manager (Zendo)

    Ryan received his B.A. in Psychology from Claremont McKenna College and spent ten years mentoring at-risk teens and families through wilderness survival skills and nature connections.

    His passion for community, connection, the environment and intrapersonal healing continued with his involvement in permaculture, natural building and ancestral grief rituals. As a volunteer with the Zendo Project since 2013, Ryan has had the opportunity to connect and expand the scope of psychedelic harm reduction in communities and festivals all over the globe. As the Zendo Project Manager, he integrates his skills in psychology, design and community engagement. When he isn’t on the road, Ryan can be found at his home in Boulder, CO, enjoying the great outdoors, experimenting with sustainable technology and designing websites, logos and sacred geometry art.

  • Chief Research Officer at EntheoTech Bioscience


    Manesh is Chief Research Officer at the psychedelic bioscience company EntheoTech Bioscience. He is currently obtaining his PhD in Neuroscience at McGill University, focusing on the default-mode network. He is also researching the brain mechanisms underlying LSD, psilocybin, and DMT in collaboration with Dr Robin Carhart-Harris and other leaders in psychedelic science.

    Manesh has been the lead and co-author of over a dozen scientific publications and book chapters on topics including psychedelics, meditation, daydreaming, and the default-mode network. He also runs the YouTube channel The Psychedelic Scientist, where he discusses the latest findings in psychedelic science in an easy-to-understand but non-superficial form.

  • Psychedelic Therapist and Founder Mycology Psychology

    Rome Shadanloo is a psychedelic therapist specializing in CPTSD and attachment injury. She studied holistic psychology and focused on psychoneuroimmunology, working to ease chronic pain rooted in the emotional life of the mind. She helped over 100 people integrate their micro and macro doses of psilocybin, 5-MeO-DMT, and MDMA.

    Rome's practice includes the various modalities of internal family systems, reparenting work, and quantum healing. She is a certified death doula. 

    Rome received a degree in holistic psychology from Lesley University and did extensive work in various roles at Proposition 36 rehab facilities that specifically serve the incarcerated and formerly incarcerated, including on-the-spot counselling for those in urgent crisis.

  • Assistant Professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies

    Matthew David Segall, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness Program at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. 

    He is the author of The Re-Emergence of Schelling: Philosophy in a Time of Emergency (2014) and Physics of the World-Soul: Whitehead's Adventure in Cosmology (2021). 

    He is a multidisciplinary researcher focusing on applications of process philosophy across the natural and social sciences. He blogs regularly at footnote2plato.com

  • Indigenous and Community Affairs Officer at the Chacruna Institute for Psychedelic Plant Medicines

    Marlena Robbins is Diné (Navajo) from the Yeii Dine's Táchii'nii (Giant Red Running into Water People) clan. She holds a master's in American Indian studies - Indigenous rights and social justice. Her thesis, titled Art as a Spiritual Expression for Indigenous Well-being, focused on advocating for Art within the fields of Indigenous mental health and community wellness. 

    She has developed and implemented expressive arts programming for Community Bridges, Inc., substance abuse and behavioural health nonprofit. She has served as the assistant director and grant writer of Cultural Coalition, Inc., an arts and culture nonprofit. She is a doctoral student at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health – Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing on advancing sacred plant medicines in tribal nations. 

    She is an Indigenous science student fellow of the Berkeley Center for the Science of Psychedelics (BCSP). Her qualitative research title, Multigenerational Perspectives of Psilocybin Mushrooms in Tribal and Urban Indigenous Communities of the North and Southwest United States, will inform the protocols of psychedelic-assisted therapy from multigenerational Indigenous perspectives on psilocybin mushrooms. 

    She is a graduate student researcher for the BCSP's Certificate Program in Psychedelic Facilitation. She serves as the Indigenous and Community Affairs Officer at the Chacruna Institute for Psychedelic Plant Medicines.

  • Harm Reduction Officer, MAPS and Sub-Investigator: MAPS MDMA Assisted Therapy Clinical Trials

    Sara is a psychedelic therapist, harm reductionist, and teacher. She started working with MAPS in 2012, coordinating psychedelic harm reduction services at festivals and events worldwide with the Zendo Project and serving as the Director of Harm Reduction at MAPS from 2016-2020. 

    She is a therapist for the MAPS clinical trials of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD in Boulder and currently serves as a therapist trainer for MAPS Public Benefit Corporation. Sara believes that developing a comprehensive understanding of psychedelic medicines through research and education is essential for the health and well-being of individuals, communities, and the planet.

  • Behavior Analyst and Co-Founder Mycology Psychology

    Victoria Sterkin, PhD, is a behaviour analyst focused on therapeutic learning with individuals, couples, families and organizations. Currently, she is focused on helping people integrate their experience from macro dosing psilocybin. 

    Victoria spent over a decade in the education field, teaching and conducting research as a behaviour analyst. Victoria's basis for understanding human behaviour stems from the behavioural science of learning. Still, it has since coupled with her deep interest in neurobiology, heartmath, the quantum realm and yogic traditions. 

    Victoria graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University, with a PhD in Applied Behavior Analysis. She is a native New Yorker currently residing in Santa Cruz, CA, with a private practice and consultancy.

  • Founder Flourish Academy and Co-Founder Sisters in Psychedelics

    Dana Harvey is a founder, an educator, a professional communicator, a community builder, and an advocate for women in the psychedelic ecosystem. Previously a c-suite executive and Head of Investor Relations at Numinus, one of the leading publicly traded psychedelics companies, Dana stepped down to educate and support individuals and groups about transformational microdosing and intentional psychedelic use. 

    She founded the Flourish Academy, which provides loving guidance, shares evidence-based research and cultivates supportive communities like The Flourish Academy Club on Clubhouse with over 1.5K members. Dana co-founded Sisters in Psychedelics, a community and platform that empowers people to elevate the divine feminine and other underrepresented voices in the psychedelic ecosystem.

  • Author of The Psilocybin Connection, Guide, and Educator

    Jahan Khamsehzadeh, PhD focused his dissertation on psychedelics at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). It was published as the book "The Psilocybin Connection: Psychedelics, the Transformation of Consciousness, and Evolution on the Planet" in April 2022 and became the number one new mushroom book release on Audible. 

    Aside from academics—Jahan trained for years within the Mazatec mushroom tradition, assisted for two in the Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy Certificate training at CIIS, mentored at the School for Consciousness Medicine, graduated the Hakomi Somatic-Psychotherapy training, led legal psilocybin ceremonies in Jamaica with Atman Retreats, and works as a consultant with Synthesis.   • Writer, Editor, and Cofounder Lucid News

    Faye Sakellaridis is an NYC-based writer and editor and a co-founder of Lucid.News, an online journalism platform that covers the growing integration of psychedelics into society and their broad implications for human wellness. 

    She also serves as an editor and writer for Synergetic Press. This independent publisher advances unique and paradigm-shifting ideas to inspire individual and social change. From 2012 to 2019, she served as the managing editor for Reality Sandwich, the leading web magazine for transformational culture.

    Sam is one of the founders of Deliqs, where he is setting up a digital ecosystem for psychedelic care. With their products, Deliqs helps psychedelic users to track their journey, educate themselves and gain actionable mental health insights.
